Pressed into a wall before the plaster set.
Nobody put it there.
Milo started looking anyway.
Milo is a freelance journalist in his early thirties. He started a story about people who visit certain places on instinct and come back changed — not vanished, just different. Quieter. Or more certain.

Three: find him.
She said his last name wrong. I didn’t correct her. I wasn’t certain of the pronunciation either.
